CURRENT RESIDENTS
Our top priority for our existing and future Oak Rock inhabitants is to keep them safe, which is why we start by screening owned animals via questionnaire. In addition, prior to agreeing to take an animal in, we make sure we are set up with proper facilities to house the new animal(s). Because we are a family-run organization and all of the daily pet care and new structures come from the Rankin family's physical labor, we also make sure we can physically, financially and medically take on a new Oak Rock animal before saying yes. We also quarantine new animals before introducing them to the other Oak Rock inhabitants, to minimize transfer of infectious diseases to our current inhabitants, and to make sure we understand the new animal's individual needs before introducing them to the Oak Rock animal community.
We take many careful steps ahead of time to ensure the Oak Rock animals will be living their best lives with us, permanently!
