Our trio of Cortunix quail (Russet, Melody and Yukon) came to us from Wildlife Care Association of Sacramento. WCA Sacramento isn't able to keep or release domestic animals, so they rehomed them with us, where we needed a covey for LC. They arrived in January 2024.

RB came to us as a stray found by rescuers in the East Bay. She fit right in with our other potatoes, so of course, we had to name her after another potato variety. She arrived at the sanctuary in October 2024.
